As the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing a comprehensive manufacturing strategy that aligns with our company's goals. Your focus will be on ensuring flexibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness to meet customer demands. You will oversee a 24-hour production process, leading a workforce of over 400 employees through a team of shift managers. It will be your duty to ensure that production targets are met, all while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and budget control.
The Manufacturing Manager role will also involve the development and coaching of the management and supervisory teams, fostering a culture centered on employee growth, health, safety, and welfare. You’ll work closely with our quality department to ensure that the products we deliver meet the highest standards, with the goal of maintaining customer satisfaction and eliminating complaints. In addition, you will lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement, driving efforts to enhance productivity, improve cost control, and ensure timely product delivery. Planning for the future and spearheading continuous improvement activities will also be key parts of your role.
To succeed in the Manufacturing Manager role, you should have a degree engineering, or equivalent experience. A strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes is essential, along with proven leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities. You should also have a track record of managing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, demonstrating your ability to handle multiple priorities and drive strategic initiatives.
In addition to the essential skills, it would be advantageous if you have experience in sheet metal, paint processes, or assembly operations, as well as familiarity with Lean Manufacturing techniques such as OEE, Kanban, SMED, TPM, and 5S. Automotive or First Tier Automotive industry experience is also highly desirable.
